With everything happening in the world at the moment, the majority of us are putting in more time at home. It can feel tricky to stick with a positive lifestyle when your gym in Minneapolis is closed.
You could have become the educator, home cook, and parent in your household. Or you are working from home for a time and aiming to set up some organization throughout the day.
Throughout these unpredictable times, it can be appealing to stay on the couch, staring at the news and your favorite shows, and gradually losing your normal workout routine. We may be spending more time at home, but we can always make ways to preserve a healthy routine! We’re sharing our preferred productive activities you can integrate into your current everyday routine to be active, promote your immune system, and manage momentum toward achieving your wellness objectives.
Integrate Home Workouts
One benefit of spending more time at home is the flexibility in your day-to-day schedule. Examine your day. Where can you squeeze in a few minutes for a home workout? A great workout doesn’t need to go on forever to be good for you. As long as your heart rate escalates, you will create fat and calorie-burning advantages! Take a look at our 12-minute home fitness class you can do anytime, anywhere!
Include Your Kids in Your Workout
The pools may not be open, but there are still many ways to offer fun activities your kids will want to do. At the end of the day, staying active isn’t just for mom and dad! Here are a couple of our favorite fun (and free!) ways the entire family can spend time together:
- Walk the dog
- Play frisbee out in the warm sun (hello Vitamin D!)
- Break for a bike ride or roller skate journey
- Make a floral arrangement with your homegrown blossoms
- Play ball in your yard
- Snag your sidewalk chalk and make a driveway mural
- Have a dinner cooking match up
- Crank up the music and have a dance -off
Prepare Healthy Meals
Are you trying your best to stay away from the grocery store? No problem! This is the time to innovate in the kitchen and include your available canned goods and frozen foods. With the kids on break, long days at work, and almost endless household chores, keep your breakfasts, lunches, and dinners easy this season.
At FXB, we make good nutrition simple for our members. Snag your favorite protein type from the freezer, pick a carb for the side, and add some healthy fat. And there you go: a healthy dinner with little to no fuss. (And if it’s your fun day, pick up a pizza and unwind!)
